70's Theme Fondue Party

More Party Ideas

If you're looking for a winner of a theme party, a traditional 1970's bash could be the ticket. Think bell bottoms, paisley shirts and dig up some Beatles, James Taylor and Elton John CD's. You can have a lot of fun with a fondue party!

Fondue recipes are simple to make. Just be sure that there's enough fondue and food to dip for the number of people at your party. Don't have enough fondue pots? Pull out a crock-pot or chafing dish in a pinch.

The first course begins with vegetables, meats, bread or even fruit dipped into cheese. Some hostesses prefer to serve a green salad along with the cheese fondue course. A meat course comes next with a variety of dipping sauces. Don't forget chocolate fondue for dessert, with fruit to dip or pieces of cake.

There's a fondue tradition that says if any woman drops her food in the pot she has to kiss the person next to her. (If you find that a particular woman appears rather clumsy, keep your husband away from her!)
