Everyone's baby is an angel! Celebrate the sweet baby-to-be with an angelic theme that showers the parents with well wishes and heavenly blessings. While many may associate this theme with a winter baby shower given that angels are so symbolic of Christmas, think "cherubs" for spring and every other season. (CupidĀ is perfect for a Valentine's Day shower!) Once you start planning this party, you'll find cherubic angels everywhere from angel food cake to angel songs for your baby shower play list.

Drape and festoon fluffy and feathery white decor around the party space to give the shower a heavenly style accented by angels.
- Angel decorations are very popular around Christmas but can be found year round online.
- Choose the type of angel that you wish to use to set the style of your party. For example, you can go with an elegant golden cherub or perhaps a cartooned replica of an angel.
- Once you've chosen your angel, look for angel-themed candleholders, images on tableware, even affordable garden statuary, and coordinate similar elements of the party to that style.
- Use white tablecloths with a sheer chiffon overlay to give your party a pristine touch.
- Browse wedding websites for angel-themed items like place card holders.
- Purchase child-size costume angel wings and use them to decorate the back of guests' chairs.
- Use big white tissue pom-poms in clusters as heavenly clouds and hang them throughout the party space.
- Drape white feather boas over doorways and entrances.
- Accent every possible spot with angel ornamentation if available.
- For party favors, consider angel ornaments, angel miniature soap, even angel-shaped white chocolate lollipops!

Angel Charades or Draw It Guess It
Most know the basics of Charades and Draw It Guess It (a.k.a. Pictionary), but here's a brief recap of how both games are played.
How to Play Charades:
- Divide the party into 2 teams and give each team a name.
- Determine how many clues or rounds you want to play. 10 clues per team is a good number to start with or write a clue for each player to have a turn.
- Each team comes up with titles of songs, movies, or other agreed upon categories for the other team to guess.
- The teams write their titles on slips of paper, fold them up, and put them into a team bowl that is labeled with the team name.
- Scorekeepers and timers are designated.
- For each round, a team member gets up in front of their teammates, chooses a clue from the other team's bowl, and silently acts it out within a certain amount of time. (2 minutes is ample for a party so the game doesn't go on forever!)
- If the team guesses the clue within the amount of time they get a point. If the clue giver talks while acting out, he or she is disqualified and a point goes to the other team.
- The team with the most points when all rounds are played wins the game!
- Note: There are common gestures for acting out clues like how many words are in the title or what category the clue is, such as "movie." Chances are one guest has played before and can give a brief overview of these gestures for the clue intros to make it easier to guess.
How to Play Draw It Guess It:
- Draw It Guess It is played almost identical to Charades except Step 6 is different.
- For Draw It Guess It, a team member gets up in front of their teammates, chooses a clue from the other team's bowl, and must draw the clue on a large piece of paper within a certain amount of time. (2 minutes is ample for a party so the game doesn't go on forever!)
- The party host should set up a sturdy easel with a very large pad of paper and provide markers for the game playing. You can pick up materials at most office supply or craft stores.
