In that vein, may we suggest recreating the schism between science and the Vatican for a night by throwing your own Angels and Demons themed Halloween party.
Incorporate many of the movie's symbols with religious-themed red, black and white decor, food and drinks, and entertain guests with an Angels and Demons themed murder mystery game.
- 1 Fl. Oz. Fris Apple Vodka
- 2 Fl. Oz. Apple Juice
- 1 Tsp Grenadine
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with cracked ice, cover and shake. Served in a chilled martini cocktail glass, rimmed with sugar and garnished with a red apple slice.
- To rim the glass with sugar: pour a small amount of grenadine onto a small plate. Set the rim of the chilled martini glass into the grenadine and carefully rotate the glass for even coverage. Then, to rim with the sugar: using sugar on a separate plate after the glass has been rimmed with the grenadine, gently sit the rim of the glass into the sugar and remove. Immediately after, strain the chilled martini mixture into the sugar rimmed glass and garnish with a thinly sliced, red apple slice.
- 1.5 Fl. Oz. Gin
- .5 Fl. Oz. Black Sambuca
- 2 Tsp Sweet Vermouth
- Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Red, White and Black Color Scheme
Though the book did not have a particular color scheme, the movie's colors were comprised mainly of black, white and red. The priests' robes were either red or white, blood is obviously red, the brands were black, many of the Vatican buildings were an (albeit faded and dirty grayish) white, and most of the other non-religious characters were dressed in black or dark colors.
These colors are perfect to use in the Halloween party decorating scheme since they are dark, foreboding and are very similar to traditional Halloween colors. Showcase the color scheme by renting or purchasing red or black tablecloths, plastic plates and flatware and candles, and by serving red, black and clear cocktails.
Red, Black and White Italian Food
Even the food can be coordinated with the red, black and white color scheme by including yummy Italian appetizer foods like black olives, red berries, tomato and mozarella (caprese) salad, spaghetti and meatballs and margarita or prosciutto pizza.
Rule Changes
1. Whoever chooses the King is Robert Langdon instead of the policeman, and whoever pulls the Ace from the deck of cards is the hashshashin who will be murdering the priests.
2. Instead of playing the game all at once, scatter each murder throughout the party by turning out the lights once per hour (with warning, of course) to let the hashshashin murder another victim. This will build the suspense throughout the night as people try to figure out who the hashshashin is.
3. Each person murdered by the hashshashin should receive an Earth, Wind, Fire or Water ambigram sticker to wear over their costume until the hashshashin is identified.
4. Hide a metal or plastic container somewhere in the house labeled ‘antimatter', and let guests know that whoever finds the antimatter canister will win a special prize at the end of the evening. Give the winner a copy of the Angels & Demons DVD, or book on tape as their prize.
