Charlie Brown Christmas Party Decor
Created in the 60s, A Charlie Brown Christmas is all about the simple nostalgia of the holiday season. Decorations are easy and homemade, with a rustic charm that gets guests into the holiday spirit of a bygone era.

Pennant Banners

Evoke old-fashioned party décor by crafting homemade pennant banners.

1. Simply cut square pieces of green and red craft paper in half diagonally to form triangles.

2. Write one letter per triangle to spell out Christmas phrases or lines from the movie, like the famous, "It's Christmas, Charlie Brown!" quote.

3. Use tape to affix the pennants to a piece of twine or Christmas ribbon. Finally, hang the pennant banner along a wall or entryway to a room for homemade décor with vintage appeal.

Popcorn Strings

Along with pennant banners, create popcorn strings to hang from doorways and string across rooms. Popcorn strings were a classic part of Charlie Brown's Christmas décor, and they should be part of yours as well.

1. Pop 3 - 4 bags worth of popcorn and allow to cool completely.

2. Thread clear fishing line through a needle and use it to string long lines of popcorn.

3. Hang as desired for a thoroughly 60s Christmas.

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

It wouldn't be a Charlie Brown Christmas without a replica of Charlie's humble, wilting little Christmas tree. Either create your own with a sparse branch cut off a larger tree, or buy one online. Target offers their own 18" tall version of Charlie's tree for only $14.99, complete with a lone red ornament dragging down the branches.

Charlie Brown Christmas Party Ornament Exchange
Get in the spirit of giving by asking party guests to participate in an ornament exchange. Ask people to bring a homemade ornament for Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. Before the party, be sure to craft four or five of your own homemade Christmas ornaments in case people forget to bring theirs.

When guests arrive, invite them to place their homemade ornament on the tree and to take one home with them as a party favor. It's a merry gesture of giving that is sure to put everyone in the right mood for the season.
