- Thoroughly wash and dry an empty baby food jar. Discard or save the lids for another project.

- Heat up microwaveable soy wax (follow the instructions on the package) and pour into a tea cup.
- Add scented oils like peppermint or lavender.
- Insert a wick (trim as needed) and let the candle harden for at least an hour.
All it takes to transform ordinary drinking glasses into pretty candle holders is a bit of tissue paper and glue.
Preparation
You'll need:
- Plain glass drinking glass
- Colored tissue paper
- Scissors
- Mod Podge glue
- Paintbrush
- Toothpick
- Plain glass drinking glass
Steps
- Cut out shapes such as flowers, polka dots or stripes from colored tissue paper.
- Dip a paintbrush into Mod Podge glue and gently dab it onto the spot you want your paper shape to go.
- Place shapes onto the drinking glass, carefully smoothing out any air bubbles with the side of a toothpick.
- Let paper shapes dry, then add a final coat of Mod Podge to seal--don't worry, it dries clear!

Great for a kid's craft, use paint markers to dress up a plain glass candle votive.
