Raise the dead, raise the roof, rock and roll!
Host a Halloween bash where guests dress as their favorite dead rock star.
Glam up gravestones, serve gruesome food, and vote on the costume that best embodies the spirit of a singer who has passed on.

- Go to the Celebrations Online Invitations page and pick a Halloween photo or upload your own image of a deceased rock star. Then, fill in your party info.
- After you create and send the invitations, an RSVP event page is created like this one I made for a Halloween Bash.
- You can manage the RSVP event page by going to your Celebrations profile and clicking on "Events" in the left column.
- Click on the "View Event Details" button and you're there!

Ruched Satin Table Panel:
- Purchase about 5 yards of satin in black, red, or a color in your party palette.
- Double thread a needle to a 90-inch length and knot the end.
- Baste or use a running stitch along both long edges of the fabric.
- Hold the end of the thread that is not knotted and gently slide the fabric along the thread towards the knotted end. This will create folds or ruches in the fabric that will resemble the lining inside a coffin.
- When your satin is the desired length, knot the thread.
- Place the ruched satin on top of a black tablecloth so it extends down the front of your food table.
- For reference, see this tutorial on How to Sew.

A celebrity cemetery is a great way to go for this party. Give them a rock star touch with glowing paint and a bit of glam.
Glow-in-the-Dark Glam Rock Star Graves
If your party is outside, plotting faux gravestones around the yard is easy, as many come with stakes. Or you can buy garden stakes and insert them to the gravestone yourself.
For indoor parties, consider attaching an easel or cardboard flap to the back of the gravestone and placing them around the main room.
To Glitz Up a Gravestone:
- Purchase hard foam tombstones and paint them black using acrylic paint. (Spray paint and adhesives might "melt" the foam depending on the material.)
- Use glow-in-the-dark paint to write a rock star's name on the grave, highlight edges, or outline features molded on the gravestone such as R.I.P.; allow paint to dry.
- Lightly brush white glue (that dries clear) on the gravestone.
- Sprinkle black glitter on the glue.
- Pool black satin fabric around the base of the gravestone to make it more of a "stand alone" piece.
