My expertise in creating parties has certainly come in handy with my most important job: mother of two! Recently, Celebrations.com teamed up with Momlogic.com for a video shoot where I demonstrated how to make some easy Easter centerpieces. In fact, my 4-year-old daughter, Piper, helped out with a candy display centerpiece that would be perfect for an Easter Egg Hunt buffet table. For the last 9 years, coincidentally my son's age, my mantra has been "to save time and money without sacrificing an ounce of style." I repeat this phrase whenever my holiday decorating plans get too "over-the-top." The truth is, you can create a beautiful tabletop without spending all day futzing over little details. Even if you only have 5 minutes to think about making a table pretty, I hope these ideas inspire you to create a holiday display! For more ideas, visit our Easter page.

Inspired by the centerpiece in my article, Easter Activities: Simple Easter Brunch, I created the first arrangement in the video with the idea of highlighting yellow tulips and yellow eggs.
I picked up a tulip plant at Target for $3.99 and set it in a nice vase that I had on hand. Then, I covered the dirt surface with sheet moss that I bought at the craft store. Yellow eggs placed at the base of the plant finished it off.

For those who favor a contemporary look, the second centerpiece in the video is for you! I stacked "blown-out" brown and blue-colored eggs in a rectangular glass vase for a clean modern look. Add a trendy holiday touch in your foyer or on your fireplace mantle with this display.

The third centerpiece consists of pink "hard boiled" Easter eggs and pink flowers submerged in a glass cylinder vase. The vase is filled with water and pink flower petals float on top along with a tea-light.

Use 2 pieces of cardstock to act as dividers in the cube vase, making 3 sections.
Then, pour candy into each section, while trying the hold the cardstock in place. Tricky, I know, but your kids or an extra pair of hands might be a big help on this one!
Pull the cardstock out. 3 Place the cube vase with vertical candy layers in the center of your table.
Complete the table display by flanking the center vase with 2 identical Easter candy vases. In the video, I used 2 rectangular vases containing a bed of jellybeans and a chocolate Easter bunny on top.
