Easter
Plan Your Party with the best-looking invitations on the web!
You will need one raw egg and one spoon for each person participating in the race.
Steps
- Line contestants up next to each other on a starting line.
- Place the egg in the spoon. The racer must balance the egg in the spoon, without using their free hand, and make it to the designated finish line.
- If the egg drops, but is not broken, the racer may pick up the egg, reposition it on the spoon and resume the race.
- The first person back to the finish without a broken egg wins!

This is the time to celebrate that great (and yummy) symbol of rebirth--the egg! And what’s Easter without a great egg painting and decorating session? Bring out the budding artist in everyone and hand out a prize for most creative or most beautifully decorated egg.
Steps
- The Tie-Dye Way: Squirt or drizzle various colors of tempera or acrylic paint onto a paper towel.
- Place an egg in the center and carefully wrap the paper towel around egg, pressing gently. Remove the paper towel carefully.
- The egg will look like it was tie-dyed. Allow it to dry well.
- Sponge Painted Style: Cut a sponge into small pieces. Pour some acrylic paint into a shallow dish or onto wax paper.
- Clip the sponge pieces onto clothes pins, one for each color of paint. Dip the sponge into the paint and dab the egg with it.
- Put the egg in an egg cup to dry.

Steps
- Create fake “carrots” by cutting carrot shapes from orange construction paper and gluing on green construction paper tops.
- "Plant" them all around the house--under sofa cushions, in the silverware drawer, or taped to the refrigerator door, for example.
- Send your kids around the house to gather all the carrots. Let them redeem their carrots for snacks or treats.

Fashionistas don't take a day off on Easter. Have a Project Runway-inspired challenge!
Steps
- Ask guests to create the most outrageous and spectacular Easter hats using supplied materials such as plain white baseball caps, ribbons, buttons, elastic, glitter and colorful fabric scraps.
- After the challenge, put on music, have everyone show off their creations at a "parade" or fashion show. Have judges offer critiques and choose a winner, who wins a prize.

Part of the fun is making a mess!
Steps
- Place an Easter egg in the center of the room.
- Give each player a colored or painted Easter egg as their "bowling" egg.
- Players take turns "bowling" to see who can roll their egg closest to the center egg.
