This Valentine's Day forgo the plastic, round up your posse and chase those recession blues away with a heart-stopping D.I.Y. cocktail party. Because when the bottom drops out, what else can you do but say...Bottom's up!

- 4.5 Oz Van Gogh Vodka
- 1 Pinch Chambord
- Shake vodka and Chambord over ice.
- Skewer your favorite chocolate candy for a sweet garnish.

When it's time to drink..think pink!
- 3 Oz Stirring's Pomegranate Mixer
- 2 Oz Raspberry Vodka
- Shake mixer and vodka in a shaker.

Don't have the money to drop on a vintage bottle of champagne?
No worries! Set out a tray of Sofia minis (cute little soda cans of champagne) to greet your guests when they walk in. The adorable cans of champagne even include a straw, so you can just pop and enjoy!

- Fill a clear plastic bag with a travel sized tooth brush, toothpaste, and a Crest White Strip
- Add a personal love note wishing them many kisses in the year to come
- Tie with a pink or red ribbon

Invites are elementary when you break out the construction paper, glitter, doilies and glue for retro invitations that are as fun to make as they are to give.

1. Paper Chain of Fools: Cut out pieces of red, white and pink constuction paper and glue them together to make a paper chains. String around your house.
2.Candy Girls: Fill a variety of clear glass jelly jars with your favorite Valentine's Day themed candy like Twizzlers, Necco conversation hearts and M&M's. Arrange the jars on white paper doilies.
4. Sweetest Ring: Set out red "engagement" ring pops and cheap heart shaped boxes of chocolates.
5. Confetti: Sprinkle heart shaped confetti on table tops.
