Chicken Wing Station

Everyone loves chicken wings; the hardest part about eating them is choosing which variety. With a killer chicken wing buffet, however, your guests won't have to choose - and they will love you for it. Serve a variety of at least three to four different types of wings, and provide plenty of different sauces on the side too. Estimate that each guest will eat approximately six chicken wings to determine the amount needed for your bowl game party.

Great Flavor Picks:

Must-Serve Sauces:

  • Ranch
  • Blue Cheese
  • Ketchup
  • Honey-Mustard
  • Sweet and Sour Sauce
Heavenly Hot Dog Station

As with the chicken wing station, the goal is to provide guests with a variety so they can create their favorite hot dog combination. Offer at least two types of hot dog variety, one being a flavorful chicken sausage for the non-beef eaters. Our two suggestions are:

  • Aidells Spicy Andouille Chicken Sausage (so good that it is impossible to tell that it's actually chicken)

For the health-conscious, offer whole wheat hot dog buns as well as the regular variety. Make sure to have plenty of condiments on-hand all chopped up and ready for your guests to self-serve. Include:

  • Red and White Chopped Onions
  • Chopped Tomato
  • Chopped Pepperoncinis
  • Relish
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Mayonnaise

Self-Serve Beer Buckets
Create a Self-Serve Beer Bar with these easy steps:
1. At a local craft, home improvement or container store, purchase a few metal pails. They should be at least a foot and a half across at the top.

2. Fill each pail with ice and one type of bottled beer per pail. This will allow your guests to find the type of beer they need easily, and will keep it all cool throughout the big game. Allow to chill for at least half an hour before guests arrive so beer is cold.

Budget-Friendly Bowl Game Decorations

Cheap, reusable and eco-friendly game day decorations are a cinch. Visit your local discount home goods store and buy a sheet set in one of the colors of your college team.

Super Easy Game Day Slipcover:

Drape the flat sheet over your couch and tuck the ends into sofa cushions to create a makeshift slipcover. It will make your living room look festive as well as protect your couch from inevitable game day crumbs and spills.

Game Day Pillows:

You can also put the pillow covers over your decorative pillows. Put these pillows on other chairs or couches in the living room to tie in the team color scheme. For a quick tablecloth, cut the elastic off the end of the fitted sheet to create another flat sheet. Double it over and use it on top of your game day buffet table. It makes cleanup super easy - just throw it in the washing machine and fold it away until next fall.
