How to Organize Your Super Bowl Party Pool
Dim the lights, it's game time!

After you get the football-friendly eats and decor ready, gather the gang for a Super Bowl pool.

Follow some simple steps for setting up a pool, and pretty soon you'll have the perfect game plan for Super Bowl fun--whether your team wins or loses.

Set Up Your Super Bowl Pool
Score big with the football fanatics at your Super Bowl fete by setting up a pool.

Preparation
  • Materials you need:

    • Poster-size board
    • Colored markers and pens
    • TV
    • Other football fans

Steps
  • Draw a 10-by-10 grid on the poster board (you can also get a readymade board from SuperBowlPoolBoards.com). Make sure there is enough space in each square for participants’ names.

  • Write one team’s name across the top of the board, and the other team’s name down the left side. Number the top grids from 0-9, and the do to the grids down the left side.

  • Pass the board to friends and family interested in placing a bet and buying an empty square, and have them write their names on the squares they pick. Participants can choose as many squares as they want.

  • Watch the game, eat lots of food, and cheer as loud as you can.

  • When the game ends, match the last digit of each team’s score with the grid to find the lucky square—and the winner. For example, if the final score is San Diego Chargers 17, Dallas Cowboys 14, line up the No. 7 from the San Diego side of the grid with the No. 4 on the Dallas side. The person whose name is written in the intersecting square wins the pool. If no one claimed the winning square, declare whoever is closest to the winning square the winner.

  • Celebrate (if your team won) and eat some more.
