Celebrate Inauguration Day 2009 by saying goodbye to the old and welcoming in the new. This Inauguration is a particularly historic event that will be watched and celebrated by people across the world.
Hollywood's A-Listers are battling to get tickets to see Obama sworn in, but the event is so highly anticipated that even the biggest names aren't guaranteed a ticket.
You might not be able to rub elbows with Susan Sarandon, Beyonce or Oprah at the Inaugural Balls, but you can still celebrate the historic event from the comfort of your own home.
Invite friends and family over for a patriotic affair that's big on fun and easy on the pocketbook. Show your patriotism by serving up delicious red, white and blue cocktails, a few easy appetizers, and save on decorations by using old Fourth of July decor.

Fourth of July Decorations to Reuse:
- Large American flags: hang them on the wall behind or above your television for a super patriotic feel
- Mini flags: pass them out to guests as they arrive, place them in small vases and flowerpots to brighten up a table, or decorate a white cake by placing flags in it.
- Flag banners: Hang them across a dining room wall, or above wherever the food is layed out
- Red, white and blue plates and plastic silverware: make cleanup a cinch by serving your food on paper plates with disposable silverware.
Economical New Decorations:
- Red, white and blue balloons: tie them on the backs of chairs and outside your home for a festive feel.
- Hit up post-Christmas and Hannukah sales and scour the clearance racks for some red and blue candles to light up your home. Small birthday-sized candles can be placed on an inauguration cake. Blow the candles out when the inauguration ends.

Here's how to play the Presidential Trivia Game:
1. Write down a list of presidential trivia questions on notecards. To get started, check out About's extensive list of common presidential questions and answers. It's the perfect start for a trivia game.
2. Split up your guests into two teams.
3. Designate an emcee who reads the questions to the teams.
4. Give each team a bell, noisemaker, or buzzer to signal when they are ready to answer.
5. Allow the first team to buzz in to give their answer. If it is incorrect, the other team gets a chance to answer. Each answer is worth a point.
6. Keep track of each team's points, and give the winning team a small token.
