Often called the "most exciting two minutes in sports," the Kentucky Derby is a time-honored tradition, marked by a time-honored cocktail: the famous Mint Julep!
The Mint Julep has been the Derby's signature drink for seventy years, and each year during the Kentucky Derby nearly 120,000 mint juleps are served at Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby.
Trust us, whether you follow the race or not, a Mint Julep (or two!) is the perfect way to enjoy Derby Day with some friends.
We're offering you two versions of the Mint Julep: one is the classic cocktail, Derby-style, and the other is our very own Julip with a fun twist.
On May 2nd, get ready to place your bets. May the best horse--and cocktail--win!
Bonus? Throw in the simplest snack recipe ever--everybody's favorite "Derby Dogs" (AKA pigs in a blanket)--for the Triple Crown of Derby entertaining!
