This season of LOST has been even crazier than the others because some of our Oceanic Six got a taste of life outside of the island, while others were time warped into a different era. If you're just as excited as us about the season five finale, then you'll love what we have in store for your party!
As you read on, you'll find out about all of our Dharma Initiative stations, how to dress up as your favorite characters, and send great e-invitation ideas that you can send out right from Celebrations.com.
And, of course, don't forget to watch the much-anticipated 2-hour LOST season finale Wednesday, May 13th at 9pm!
For all those not caught up with the LOST series yet, BEWARE: spoilers ensue.

As we know, numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42 are really important in the Lost series. To keep the numbers alive, use them throughout your party.

Plan your party with the best-looking invitations on the web!
- Start the party at 8:15 PM. (The flight number was 815) (of course, if you're in the central time zone this won't work--but you get the idea)
- Make sure you have 42 pieces of hors d'oeuvres (42 is the number of hours Jack says Sayid was hit by tranquilizer darts, Kate's house number, the number of minutes Flight 815 was late).
- Either have 4, 8, 15, or 16 people at your party.
- Have 4 different entrée and/or appetizer options (4 is the apartment building Miles finds the dead man in in episode 14, the number of times Jack's grandfather left the senior home, number of years Keamy served in the Marine Corps)
- Have 8 balloons at your party (there were 8 Happy Birthday helium balloons at Hurley's birthday party in season 4, Ben watched Action 8 news)

Don't worry, we're not asking you to "lose" this gift bag (get it?), but we do have some great ideas for what you can give your special LOST-loving guests.
- Lord of the Flies: One reason LOST is so popular is because of the mysterious island where it takes place. We can't help but see the similarites to Lord of the Flies which also took place on a deserted island. For this, give out used copies of William Goldberg's Lord of the Flies to guests.
- An Ankh: This season we learned what this nifty object is: a cross with a loop on top that many Egyptian Gods have been seen carrying.Try finding a few necklaces with the same tropical feel, or consider creating one yourself.
- Magazines: LOST magazine subscription
- Dharma Initiative Garb: Get assorted Dharma Initiative Gifts that you can give to your party guests.
- Packaging: Package the things with this Oceanic Airlines motion sickness brown bag! If only the Oceanic Six had them...

Have your guests dress up as members of the island or the Dharma Initiative. Here are some highlights for how to dress up as your favorite character:
- Jack Sawyer: Signature style is a faded t-shirt and jeans. Simple enough. Add an empty bottle of alcohol or pills and you're gold!
- Jin: Consider porting handcuffs on one of your wrists
- Daniel Faraday: Skinny tie, button-up shirt, and a journal.
- Michael Dawson: Consider wearing jeans or even create a make-shift sling for your left arm to mark when he shot himself after letting Ben go.
- John Locke: Put a faux scar on the side of your face, always squint your eyes, and wear cargo shorts with a t-shirt.
- Kate: Curl your hair, tank top, jeans, cut-offs, draw on fake freckles on your face.
- Dharma Initiative Member: Wear a jumpsuit or a lab coat. If you can, draw on the DHARMA hexagram logo on your clothing. If you can, wear glasses, and consider carrying a stuffed polar bear or rabbit.

In case you’ve forgotten what the Dharma Stations are, in the second issue of Lost: The Official Magazine, writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach says, "The Dharma Initiative was a communal research facility on the island. A lot of scientists and free-thinkers got together to do a lot of different kinds of research: psychiatry, zoology - and remember that with the zoology part of the film you saw some polar bears. It's possible there were some animal aggression studies going on there, as well as human psychology experiments and a whole variety of other things."
Now that you're up-to-speed, we're going to turn your party space into the LOST island with Dharma Stations and food (yes, fish biscuits, ranch dressing, and more!)
DHARMA stands for: Department of Heuristics And Research on Material Applications, derived from Buddhist thought where 8 is the number that is all-superior.
Dharma Food Labels
To spice up your party and make it LOST and DHARMA-friendly, make sure that you label most of your food packaging (if not all of your food packaging) with DHARMA labels that you can get here! Simply download and they're ready to use!

Dharma Food Labels
To spice up your party and make it LOST and DHARMA-friendly, make sure that you label most of your food packaging (if not all of your food packaging) with DHARMA labels that you can get here! Simply download and they're ready to use!
Setting Up Dharma Stations
- With the Dharma food labels, you can draw your own Dharma station logos and create specified Dharma stations around your party space.
- You can use coffee tables, your dining table (there won't be a sit-down dinner, as all the food is travel-friendly!), stools, desks, a piano bench, or any flat surface to be your station as long as you label appropriately.
"The Staff" - (station number unknown) Medical Research Facility
- Place test tubes shooters filled with shots of alcohol or orange juice.
- Feature bottles of wine: Merlot and Cabernet, both of which the survivors found on the island and have been seen drinking on various episodes.
- Use an arrow to mark this place (obviously). Create one out of construction paper!
- Try to draw out the outline of a swan.
- Get your HUGE tub of ranch dressing with a side of veggies.
- Most of your DHARMA themed junk foods should be found here: peanut butter, chips, chocolate bars, and wheat thins.
- Feature some grilled shrimp skewers!
- Have a bowl of fish biscuits, which the crash survivors enjoy eating. They know that fish biscuits were used feed the polar bears in the DHARMA initiative, but now they're just a tasty snack that "curiously" look like Goldfish crackers.
- This is where all of your gift bags will be. It's psychological because it'll take all your guests' might to not try and peak inside the bags.
- Decorate with faux flowers, put a stuffed rabbit in the center (because of the Orchid video).
- If you want, add a clock to make sure your guests will tune into the show on time!
- Glasses of water along with animal print napkins
- Radio/Music station
- Feature Sashimi because the LOST crew had to eat a lot of raw fish. For those not really into the raw fish scene can definitely get california rolls.
- Feature some dried tropical fruits, or even fresh cutly fruits too: plantain chips, banana crisps, mangos, guava, and papayas
- Coconut milk
- Make a fruit salad!
- Get your computer and create a playlist of all of the Dharma Initiative Propaganda Videos on YouTube and play them (full screen style) continuously throughout the party.
Throughout the seasons, we’ve seen the cast find their way through various foods that they’ve found on the island. Whether it was through the Dharma supply drop or from their pantry, the food is miraculous because of its oddly long shelf life.
In Season 5, though, we catch a glimpse into the 1970s and when the Dharma Initiative was at the height of its existence the Island. In the “LaFleur” and the “He’s Our You” episodes, we see that the Dharma Initiative members eat some very interesting things.
- Chicken Salad Sandwiches: The Dharma gang was seen eating these sandwiches in the "He's Our You" episode. Check out the recipe by The Barefoot Contessa!
- Waffles with Ham and Dipping Sauces: Again, this tasty treat is eaten in "He's Our You" and were prepared by Hurley as the DHARMA chef! Here's a take on that: Ham and Cheese waffles with Honey Mustard dipping sauce via Rachael Ray! Talk about a savory spin to a breakfast sweet!
- Mac and Cheese: Another one of the things they've found in the DHARMA food supply was DHARMA mac and cheese. So, give your guests some Mac and Cheese from the box (after all, that's DHARMA-style), or cook up Alton Brown's version of baked mac and cheese and serve them in individual bowls.
- Shrimp Kabobs: Grilled shrimp and vegetables on a stick seem like a plausible dish the survivors could have eaten. Try out Bobby Flay's Grilled Shrimp Skewers with Soy Sauce, Fresh Ginger and Toasted Sesame Seeds on for size.

Play a quiz to test your knowledge of Lost. Winner gets a polar bear stuffed animal or an official jar of DHARMA peanut butter (which is, essentially, a regular jar of peanut butter with a nifty DHARMA label). As we must follow the mysterious number patterns, there are 15 questions in this quiz.
Those choices with an * asterik are the right answers!

You may want to stay sober for the season finale, but in case you’re having a marathon of the season’s other episodes afterwards, there’s no reason why you can’t have a little drink to go with it! We HIGHLY recommend checking out Videogum.com’s Season 5 Drinking Game.
Preparation
- It's actually a very intense drinking game, so we suggest dividing the list of points with your guests because if you don't, then consider yourself warned: this game causes intoxication!
- Drink every time someone is wearing something ridiculous to remind you that it's the '70s.
- Drink every time you don't know whether to trust Ben or Widmore.
- Drink every time Richard Alpert is great.
- Drink every time members of the Dharma Initiative appear clownish, or naive.
- Drink every time someone comes up with a new name to hide their identity.
- Drink every time someone says "now what?"
- Drink every time Desmond is reluctantly drawn back into the story no matter how hard he tries.
- Drink every time you're like Sun, what's going on with you?
- Drink every time you remember that Miles is still on this show and you wonder what the point of him is and if they're actually going to do something with this whole spirit-walker thing because where did THAT storyline disappear to.
- Drink every time Daniel Farraday expresses his inexplicable love for Charlotte that came out of nowhere.
- Drink every time a new Lostie appears on the screen (here's to you, new Losties!)
- Drink every time Locke looks out at the ocean like a wise old grandpa (hold over from the Lost Seasons 1 and 2 Drinking Games).
- Drink every time Farraday gives a vague and completely unsatisfying explanation of anything.
- Drink every time a reference is made to the polar bears which have gone from mystery to running joke.
- Drink every time the rules seem to change without warning.
- Drink every time Juliette is so annoying (hold over from the Lost Seasons 3 and 4 Drinking Games).
- Drink every time Jack and Sawyer have a power struggle (hold over from the Lost Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 Drinking Games).
- Drink every time Kate is so annoying (hold over from the Lost Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 Drinking Games).
Also, for more, we suggest taking a drink whenever (and you may find yourself more sober after this game):- Sawyer calls someone by a nickname
- Locke says something cryptic
- Juliette whispers
- Any one of the magic numbers (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42) are shown or mentioned
- Sayid fiddles around with something
- Locke uses a knife
- Someone stares into the water
