A quick explanation of the party's theme. Something as simple as this will do: "Come join us for Jenny's Lingerie Bridal Shower. Bring a lingerie gift that the bride can use on her honeymoon." More creative options include: "Come celebrate Jenny's Lingerie Shower! Join us for food, fun and drinks... And bring something sexy, silky or pink!" OR "Something sweet, something silly, Something sexy, something frilly! Join us for Jenny's lingerie bridal shower."
2. A Size Guide
A very important but often overlooked detail on lingerie shower invitations is the bride's sizes / measurements. One cute way to do this is to include a card printed with a cute line drawing of a woman in her bra and underwear. Draw lines to the bra and the underwear and label each line with her size (bra size, underwear size and overall size). This will prevent size guesstimates from the shower guests, and the bride having to do a million returns for wrong sizing.
1. Hang a chandelier
Shabby chic wire chandeliers can be found for a bargain price at garage sales and secondhand stores. Hang a chandelier above the party area from a small hook screwed into the wall. The chandelier certainly does not need to be lit or wired to have a dramatic effect.
2. Add Plushness
Silk, velvet, satin, lace and feathers are the perfect materials to create a plush, sensual boudoir feel for the lingerie shower. Bring in overstuffed silk pillows, cashmere throws, and feather-trimmed lampshades for a chi-chi look. Feather boas can be placed dangling off the top of chairs or couches, and crystal garland chains should be hung around the room.
Use grand candelabras as centerpieces for tables to emphasize the drama and beauty of the atmosphere. Finally, don't forget to fill the room with flowers. French girls love the beauty and smell of floral arrangements - fill vases large and small with pink or white roses and scatter them around the room. You can even scatter rose petals down the middle of a coffee or dinner table.
3. Create a Bedroom-like Setting
Set chairs and furniture up around the room strategically instead of haphazardly. Create small seating clusters and toss a pillow or throw onto each chair for luxury and comfort. If you have a vanity in your bedroom, bring it into the party room and place a pearl necklace, blush and mirror on it to make it feel like an intimate space.

- 1. Use a simple sugar cookie recipe for the cookies and cut them out using a bikini style cookie cutter. Decorate the cookies using pink and white frosting to mimic pretty, feminine lingerie (see picture).
2. After the frosting has completely set, place the decorated bra and panty cookies in a clear cellophane bag and tie with a pretty ribbon.
3. Attach a tag that says "Sweets for Someone Sweet." You can create this tag by printing the phrase from a Word document onto pretty cardstock. Simply leave enough spacing between each written phrase so the cutout square (with the phrase on it) will be 1.5 x 1.5 inches. Punch a small hole in the corner of the tag and string it onto the ribbon; tie another knot to secure it in place.
