My big game party would put a feminine twist on the traditional superbowl party. Typically superbowl parties are testosterone-driven events.
The interests of wives and girlfriends who attend along with their football fans are sometimes overlooked.
Changing the main focus of the party--the game--isn't the goal here. The idea is to tweak the menu and activities to keep everyone's interest.

Invitation
- Guys, remember the best part about playing football in high school? Yeah, that's right - the cheerleaders!
- Usually towards the end of the season the girls would get together andorganize a powder puff football game, one of the best games of theseason.
- So please come and watch the biggest game of the season with me anddon't forget to bring your favorite cheerleader with you!
Food
The menu would include healthy options in addition to crowd pleasers:
- Baked hot wings vs. fried
- Pulled pork sandwiches made with lean cutsand served on whole grain rolls
- Lighter versions of favorite salads(potato, coleslaw, pasta), etc.
Drinks
A variety of light and full flavor beers would be served. Also, guests could choose to enjoy a signature cocktail - Powder Puff Punch, a tasty berry drink.
Other elements
- Music would be a mix of "Jock Jams", party faves, and recordings of short cheers or game chants.
Guests can choose between two favors: Star QB (guy's favor) and Head
Cheerleader (girl's favor).- The guys would get team gear from either team playing the game, a hat or t-shirt, and a $10 gift card to a localsports bar, packaged in a tumbler with the name and date of the game.
- The girls would get the same tumber filled with hand cream and a $10gift card to a local nail salon.

Sticking with the cheerleader theme the decor would includ:
- pompoms in the team colors
- hand made signs with team cheers on them - like those used at high school football games
- colored streamers
- themed party ware
- balloons
