By covering a square or rectangular vase with scrapbook paper you can create a unique designer centerpiece to complement a dinner table or any room of your home.
You'll need:
- Rectangular or cube vase
- 12-inch square red and white or Valentine themed scrapbook paper
- Scissors
- Double-stick tape
- Black grosgrain ribbon
- 6 to 8 red roses
Steps:
1. Cut scrapbook paper strips to fit around your vase. You may need to cut a separate piece of paper to cover one side and then wrap a larger piece around to mask the entire vase. Adhere the paper to the vase with double-stick tape.
2. Trim black ribbon to fit around the top of the vase and secure with double-stick tape.
3. Add water halfway up the vase, being careful not to get the paper wet.
4. Cut the stems of roses the same height as the vase so the bottom of the blooms rest on the top rim of the vase. Remove rose leaves.
5. Put the roses into the vase for a simply beautiful centerpiece.
