St. Patrick’s Day Party at Home

Instead of hitting the bars this year, stay home for your St. Patrick's Day celebration.

Save some money and mix up your own batch of green beer. Treat guests to a mashed potato bar with mix-ins like cheddar cheese, bacon, and sour cream.

Set up a friendly poker game for the adults and keep the kids busy with a chocolate gold-foil coin treasure hunt as suggested in A St. Patrick's Day Party for the Wee Ones.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  • Put a round chafing dish or crock-pot of mashed potatoes on your food buffet. You can also warm potatoes in a large bowl in the microwave just before guests are ready to eat.

  • Place small matching bowls of favorite mashed potato mix-ins like cheddar cheese, bacon, and sour cream on the table.

  • Stack soup bowls, mugs, or crocks on the buffet along with spoons so that guests can mix up their own special blend of loaded potatoes.
