 Super Bowl Party Games
Get your Super Bowl party started with these fan favorites.

For one Sunday night, football fans around the world tune in for the game of the year. While the Super Bowl takes place between the top two NFL teams, a great party lets guests get in some playing action as well.

Start with the must-have betting grid, and then get creative with other fun activities. These ideas for Super Bowl party games will keep everyone's spirits up, whether or not their team wins.

Fan Dress-Up Contest
When you invite friends to the party, challenge them to come up with creative outfits supporting one of this year's Super Bowl teams. Some ideas include: using wacky wigs, body painting and mascot costumes. After everyone votes for their favorite, give the winner a prize, such as a team jersey or gift card to a sports bar.

Football Toss
A Super Bowl party isn't complete without a game of football. If there is no time for an actual game of pick-up, just head outside during halftime for a throwing contest. Have everyone stand in a specific place and see who can throw a football the farthest.

Play off the football theme and mark each person's landing spot with a yard stake and yellow flag.

Football Scrabble
For an activity to keep partygoers of all ages entertained throughout the big game, use this Scrabble board game idea from AmazingMoms.com.

Steps
  • Gather letter tiles from several Scrabble board games.

  • Take only one Scrabble board and place on a table everyone has access to.

  • Begin the game by spelling out a game-related word in the center of the board. AmazingMoms.com suggests starting with an easy word such as football, fumble or touchdown.

  • As the game continues, guests add words to the board sticking with the football theme.

Rate the Commercials
The commercials shown during the Super Bowl are often as exciting as the game itself. Advertisers take advantage of the hot time slots with the best, most inventive and sometimes craziest ads.

Make a game out of it by ranking the commercials from greatest to lamest. Even guests who aren't football fans will have fun!

Steps
  • Give everyone a sheet of paper and a pen.

  • As commercials come on, make a note of the ones that stand out, whether they're good or bad.

  • After the game, add up which commercials got the best and worst votes.
