Happy Mother's Day
  1. Make Mom a Game

Let mom be a kid! Make up a game to amuse her on Mother's Day. You can set up a scavenger hunt where mom finds clues around the house leading to a bouquet of flowers. Or create a puzzle for her using a design-your-own puzzle sheet. At Jigsawpuzzle.com, you'll find pre-cut puzzle sheets in the shapes of hearts, circles, and more that you can draw on or put a photo on.

  2. Make Up A Song for Mom

M is for the million things she gives me! Treat mom to a song on Mother's Day. Make up your own song based on a classic such as M-O-T-H-E-R and personalize it just for her. Here's an example: M is for many times you drive me to soccer practice! Check out this list of songs for inspiration on Amazingmoms.

  3. Make Mom a Favor Book

Mom does so much for the family...just because. Give back to mom with a coupon book of simple favors that the kids can do for mom. Some favors are "I will clean up my room," or "Good for 1 Kiss." Write each favor on a 3 x 5 piece of paper and have the kids print their name at the bottom. Staple the coupons together to make a little book.

  4. Make Mom Cookies

Get into the kitchen and bake up a batch of cookies for mom. Decorate the cookies with frosting and hearts, letters, or sprinkles. Put the cookies on a plate, cover them with plastic wrap, and top it off with a big bow. Surprise mom by giving them to her after dinner on the Saturday night before Mother's Day.

  5. Make Mom a Card

Instead of buying a Mother's Day card, make a special keepsake card. You'll find a blank cards at a craft store like Michaels, along with a bunch of items to decorate it from mom-themed scrapbook packs to rhinestone letter stickers.
