If you're a fan of HBO's hit TV show True Blood, this party is for you! Let Bill, Sookie, Eric and the whole gang from Louisiana inspire a chic Halloween party with a southern twist.

On the TV show, the vampires drink “Tru Blood,” a concoction that resembles the taste of human blood and allows the vampires to live "peacefully" with humans. Now HBO had made a real-life (non-alcoholic) Tru Blood soda, just in time for Halloween!

Bill, Sookie, Eric, Maryann--so many of the True Blood characters' style would make great costumes! Here, a few ideas to get you started.
Sookie Stackhouse: Sookie is a true southern belle, however she spends lots of time in her Merlotte's waitress outfit. Pick up a replica t-shirt, put on a pair of khaki shorts, add a waitress' apron/pouch and side ponytail.
Bill Compton: Bill is a true southern gentleman behind those sexy fangs. Dress your guy in a military-style jacket over a plain t-shirt and khaki pants. Then, add a bit of pale face makeup, glue on a pair of sideburns and a small amount of eyeliner to rim his eyes. Don't forget a pair of faux vampire fangs!
Maryann Forrester: She may be mysteriously evil but she's one chic lady. Maryann is all about dressing like a greek goddess so this summer's maxi dress and gladiator sandal will be perfect. Dress it up with funky bohemian jewelry and a bit of heavy black eyeliner for a dramatic touch.
Eric Northman: True Blood's sexy vampire sheriff may be centuries old but he has a modern style that's easy to recreate. Have your guy wear a simple black button down shirt under a motorcyle-style leather jacket. Black pants and boots finish the chic look. Accessorize with a dog tag necklace and sexy faux fangs. Don't forget pale makeup and a bit of eyeliner under the eye and for a real statement, rim the eyes with a touch of red eyeshadow. Slicked back hair finishes the look.

If you're looking for a chic vampire party, let Fangtasia be your inspiration. True Blood's ultimate vampire lounge, Fangtasia is all about dark glamour.
- Set up your party space lounge-like with lots of big, cozy floor pillows.
- Drape sofas and other furniture with black and red satiny or velvet fabric and black feather boas for added glamour.
- Place wax vampire fangs, bowls filled with red hot and red fireball candies all around the room.
- Hand out "vampire bite" temporary tattoos!
- Fill vases with "dead roses": simply spray paint red artificial roses black.
- Create a Fangtasia sign to hang: Pick up a piece of black foam core (or paint a white piece black). Then, use a piece of chalk to write out "Fangtasia" in a big cursive lettering to resemble the actual sign. Next, trace the lettering in craft glue, then pour on the red glitter! Let it set, shake off the excess glitter and let dry completely.
