Wicked Themed Halloween Party

Create a perfect Halloween punch that resembles a melted Elphie. Simply add green food coloring, a few drops at a time, to your favorite punch recipe until you achieve the ideal shade of green. Then, add a witch's hat floating on top to mimic a melted Elphie with nothing left but her hat.

Besides the all-important party decorations, there are two more ways to create amazing Wicked-worthy party ambiance: costumes and music.


Costumes:

When sending out a party invitation, be sure to encourage all guests to arrive dressed as their favorite character from Wicked. Feel free to broaden the range of costumes to include Wizard of Oz characters as well to give guests more creative range.


Music:

When creating the ideal Wicked Halloween party playlist, mix songs from:

• The Wicked Soundtrack
• The Wizard of Oz
• Traditional Halloween Albums (that include songs such as Monster Mash)
• Popular current songs from a genre that you and your friends enjoy listening to
  

This will give you a good mix of party music while still honoring the theme.

Create Floating Witch Hats & Broomsticks

Use clear fishing wire and a tiny screw hook to hang the broomsticks and hats from the ceiling. Tie both ends of the broomstick with  different lengths of fishing line so some brooms look like they are taking off and others look like they are landing.

Creating Wicked Themed Tablescapes

Flesh out the rest of your decor with lovely Wicked themed tablescapes.

• Set out witches hats, black and white candles and mini broomsticks on the center of the table.
  
• Create easy DIY floral arrangements by purchasing a bouquet of Bells of Ireland - tall, bright green funky flowers that look completely bewitching.
• You can also add an old, large leather-bound book as the spellbook for the evening. Either set it out on display as part of the centerpiece or use it to prop up the floral arrangement even higher.
  

Yellow Brick Road
Visit a local fabric store to buy four to six yards of a thick yellow felt.

Using a strong double-stick tape, affix the yellow brick road path from the main door of the house into the party area.

Affix a printed out sign to the front door that welcomes guests to 'follow the yellow brick road.'
