Anniversaries are more than a day that marks another year spent together. It's a day to celebrate your accomplishments as a couple, as well as a day to remember what makes the other person truly special and worth celebrating.

While every anniversary is important, there are a few milestones that deserve a little extra attention. As with tradition, the 1 year, 5, year, 10 year, 25 year, and 50 year anniversaries all have a special gift giving etiquette to follow. 1 year is paper, 5 is wood, and 10 is tin. Then, for the lovebirds growing old together - 25 is silver and 50 is gold. Can you believe some of the gift giving traditions can be traced all the way back to the middle ages?!
