An outdoor wedding celebration during the fall is a beautiful and more casual way to celebrate a happy couple. With a bit of DIY creativity and a few helpful hints, we created this gorgeous look for an Autumn celebration.
We used autumn fruit and the beautiful wedding invitations we found at Pear Tree Greetings to inspire the look and feel of our event. With these ideas your table will burst with gorgeous fall hues and seasonal decor.
Creating an inviting seating arrangement and tabletop design that captures the mood of a romantic Autumn wedding was made easier by using the design of the Pear Tree Greeting wedding invitation we sent out.
The soft tones complimented the table décor and the slim line of the place card allowed me to incorporate a place card holder that continued the autumn theme.
The rich texture and tones of fall leaves offers a modern twist on traditional autumn flowers.
There are so many stunning floral arrangements to choose from when selecting a bouquet for a fall wedding reception, however, I opted for the rich tones of the Autumn leaves to continue the theme of the Pear Tree wedding invitation.
The golden tones, rich oranges and reds, combined with the yellowing green leaves gives the focal point of the table a vibrant outdoors feel without skimping on color.
Using a fish bowl rather than a traditional vase, keeps the centrepiece low enough that guest won’t need to look around the display allows everyone to enjoy the bouquet without interfering with their conversation.
Adding a variety of candles to your outdoor reception keeps the lighting natural and soft.
Hosting an Autumn wedding reception outdoors often requires a lighting plan that will keep your party illuminated once the sun goes down. By incorporating hanging lanterns in the trees, pathway lighting underfoot and a variety to candles on the tables, your guests will enjoy the party all night long.
For this Autumn wedding reception, I used carved apple votives to accent each place setting, and tall ruby red candles to highlight the autumn centerpiece.
The cream and tan tones of the printables that continued the theme of Pear Tree Greeting's Subtle Vines wedding invitations made it simple to introduce color and blend it with the natural tones of the table.
These round tags are perfect as cupcake toppers, tabletop confetti or as a gift tag for your wedding favors.
I paired the gift tag next to the printable place setting card to create an impact of the fall leaves from my Pear Tree wedding invitation that set the tone of the reception.
Fall Wedding Table Decor
Natural tones and textures will give each place setting the feel of the outdoors without sacrificing style.
I tied in the red of apples with the red seat cushions and candles to accent the more muted tones of our invitation (cream, pale pink and tan) that continued on the table from the printables that accent the place settings.
First, I used a wood effect place mat to give the table a richness to balance the red of the apples and compliment the Pear Tree Greeting's wedding invitation and the printables by Frog Prince Paperie.
Using place mats resembling the bark of trees, golden napkin rings, natural rattan chairs, and an centrepiece bursting with fall leaves gives this table a natural and elegant feel fitting for a romantic Autumn celebration outdoors.
Mixing the golden tones of the napkin rings with the tan and cream colors of the place cards and wedding favors brings the table together by creating an elegant outdoor table setting.
Next, I adorned this wedding table with printables from Frog Prince Paperie that continued the delicate leaf pattern of the Pear Tree wedding invitations.
The tones of brown and cream make for a great foundation for any tabletop décor and really capture the essence of this romantic Autumn celebration.
The place setting card is slim and elegant while the round gift tag can be used to continue the theme on a number of elements at the wedding reception.
Adding a little extra touch of hand carved apple votives gives each setting something unique and colourful to enjoy.
