Bridal Shower Party ideas & Tips:

Just because your theme is Black and White doesn't mean you have to be boring with your table settings. Stick with these two basic colors and find table clothes in funky patterns.

The following look fabulous in black and white, especially when mixed and matched:

  • Polka dots
  • Stripes
  • Gingham
  • Checkers
  • Floral

Adorn each table with plain black (or white) table cloth on the bottom that touches the floor and top it with a shorter, patterned table cloth on top. The look is eclectic without being over-the-top.

Black, White & a Pop of Color

Invitations set the mood, so send guests one of these invites from Wedding Paper Divas:

Too much black and white has the potential to feel cold and uninviting. If you don't introduce gentle accents of other colors, the stark color pallette can become overkill. Don't be afraid to use a bit of color!

Bright, vibrant colors when used in the right way accent the black and white color scheme nicely. A good way to use subtle color is through floral centerpieces. Gerbera daisies, tulips and sunflowers will especially pop if you everything else on the table is strictly black and white.

Make index-sized cards with the words "_____________ isn't always black and white in marriage" at the top. Some examples for answers from guests could be "raising children," "paying bills," and "ordering take-out."Ask any married guest at the bridal shower to fill in the blank along with some words of wisdom about married life. The cards make for a lovely keepsake for the bride-to-be to cherish before her wedding and everyday after.
