Cookies are a terrific idea for an Easter or Spring themed party. They are easier to make then a cake, sweet bread, or pie, and take less time to bake. With the weather heating up, you'll want to spend less time in the kitchen with the oven on and your guests may need a lighter dessert. Decorated cookies are the perfect way to exercise your creativity and a fun project to do the day before the party with family, friends, or children.
Meaghan Mountford of the Decorated Cookie shares seven fabulous cookie ideas for Easter. From lambs, to cherry blossoms, to daisies, to blue birds, she has cute covered! Photos accompanying the recipes will help you follow along with her decorating plans.
On the day of the party, make sure that you proudly display your creations for as long as possible before they get consumed! You may want to place them on a tray and put them out before dinner is served, or even package them in clear cellophane bags, tie with a pastel ribbon, and present to guests as a parting gift.
