Eggs in a Nest Place Cards

  • Buy a few small grapevine wreaths at a craft store. These mini-wreaths naturally resemble nest twigs.

  • Glue two of them together side by side using a hot glue gun.

Then glue them on top of a terra cotta saucer. You'll cover up the base anyway, so you can even use the lid from a margarine container.

  • Now that you have created a base, take bits and pieces of sheet moss, glue and tuck it in and around the wreaths to make a plush nest.

  • Next, take a dyed Easter egg and write the person's name on it with a metallic pen. This looks great as it is, but if you want to give it a little sparkle, spray the egg with hairspray and then sprinkle on some glitter.

  • Remember, don't put all your eggs in one basket. These fun nests don't have to be just for place cards. Place them around the room or in the middle of the table as well.
  • You can also cut off little blossoms of your favorite spring flowers and tuck them into the nest. Isn't that sweet?

Centerpieces

Bring the outside in. Line up several rows of wheatgrass in the center of the table and surround the edges with pieces of sheet moss. Gently scatter small quail eggs throughout the wheatgrass table runner.

Also consider gluing moss around clear glass votive holders. Then, use spray glue on the moss and sprinkle the moss with glitter. Or, spray paint the moss first with metallic gold paint. Once the candles are lit, these create a chic ambiance.

Napkin Rings

Napkin rings are easy to make and they really pull together a beautiful tablescape. All you need to do is take some elegant, thin ribbon and tie it around your linen napkins. Add a satin bow and a tiny sprig of fresh flowers and voila.

Children's Sweet Tooth Table: Place Cards

Place Cards

Fill little pastel colored pails with small Easter treats such as flower petals, seeds, chocolates or peeps. Add personalized nametags to each pail with a colorful ribbon.

Centerpieces

Throw yellow and baby blue square table toppers over your regular long white tablecloths to add a pop of color for the kids.

If you have one, set up a toy train in the center of the table. Fill the cars with Easter grass before adding sweet treats on top such as jelly beans, Jordan almonds, Marzipan carrots, egg-shaped gumballs and mini chocolate eggs. If you don't have a toy train set, use little toy trucks instead.

Tie pale yellow and blue napkins with white satin ribbon. Place irresistible fuzzy chicks from Williams-Sonoma at each setting. They make for an adorable and chirpy gift.
