Many of us tend to associate Memorial Day weekend with barbeques, the arrival of summer and, of course, the color white. And although this is indeed an occasion to celebrate, Memorial Day is really about one thing: remembering and honoring all the soldiers who have fought and still fight for America's protection and freedom.

I'm sure, like me, you know at least one man or woman overseas fighting to protect us and our country right now, so this Memorial Day honor them at your celebration. Decorate your space with yellow ribbons, raise your drink in toast and ask guests to bring donations to create care packages to send overseas to our troops.
