Do things differently this year and host your Halloween party at a local bar or club for added fun and style.
The perks are that you'll have enough space to invite as many people as your want, and with a little luck you can even get the event paid for!
We'll tell you how to throw this chic event.
When choosing a bar or club to host your party, keep in mind a few things to keep everything managable.

Approximate Number of guests
Write out a guest list of everyone you want to invite, and then estimate that a small percentage won’t show up. The standard percentage that won’t show is about 15%.
Size of the Venue
Make sure that the size of the venue matches with the number of peopleon your guest list. If you prefer a large venue, see if the bar or cluboffers a smaller, contained area where you can host your party.Drink Options
Many places will insist on serving their own alcohol. However, you cansave a great deal of money by finding a venue that will let you bringyour own outside alcohol for a small fee.If you find a venue that allows you to do this, hit your local Sam’s Club or Costco to buy large bottles in bulk.
Food Options
Another great way to personalize your party and save money is by finding a venue that allows you to bring in outside catering.
If you can't bring in outside catering, either pick a late-night
place nearby for friends to meet up at after the party for a quickbite, or make sure that the venue serves good food!
Make your party unforgettable with the right décor, drinks and special touches.

Pick A Theme
Halloween, is, of course, a theme in itself.
But, take it one step further and theme your Halloween party around aparticular scary movie or horror genre: vampires, zombies, famousundead villians (think Freddy, Jason and the Texas Chainsaw Massacredude). Ask your guests to arrive dressed in their best costumes. Having guestsdress up is the best way to create a great Halloween ambiance for yourparty! If the bar or club will allow it, decorate your venue for maximum effect. Focus on key areas, like the bar or tables where people will spend a lot of time. For great décor ideas, check out our Halloween decorations articles.
Drinks and Treats
If possible, arrange with the venue to have a few specialty drinks created for your party.
- Pick drinks with great Halloween colors: red, green, orange and black.
- Give the drinks fun, ghoulish names like “Vampire Martini”, “Monster’s Mulch”, “Pumpkin Brew” and “Black Cat.”
- Finally, create a printed menu with your special drink list and frame copies around the bar and tables.
To cover the cost of the party, you have a few options. Keep in mind you can do any combination of the following, so be creative about your financing:

Bar Tab
Set aside a specific amount of money you feel comfortable paying for the party, and start a bar tab for the evening. Try to make sure guests will each get one drink included on your tab before they have to start paying out of their own pocket.
Sponsor
If your group of friends is young, hip or otherwise an influentialgroup, you might very well be able to get a sponsor to cover portionsof the event. Reach out to newer alcohol brands, upstart catering companies andHalloween stores in your area. You might be surprised at how easy it is!
Cover Charge
Let guests know that there will be a cover charge for the party. Sincemany places charge a cover on Halloween anyway, the charge shouldn’tscare off too many guests.
