If you haven’t created a working budget for your wedding, this is a wedding detail that you cannot avoid. 

Even if you are in the thick of planning and have already booked certain vendors, do take some time to write out a budget.  

This financial plan is a practical guide that can save you from potentially making mistakes that you really can’t afford.  

So when you find two equally great invitation companies, look at the bottom line.  The numbers will decide for you.

Having said that, “cheaper” isn’t necessarily always the best choice. This is especially true in regard to certain wedding details.  

When shopping for your wedding gown, the priority is finding a dress that you absolutely love, that is constructed well and with quality materials. So this isn’t an area where you want to bargain-hunt.  

Another is transportation. True, you don’t want to spend an inordinate amount of money here, but you do need find a reliable service to get you to the church on time! So professionalism and experience is what you’re after.

And I can’t emphasize this enough: you don’t have to pay top dollar, but when booking a photographer and videographer, don’t skimp. These are the pros who will be in charge of documenting this once-in-a-lifetime occasion.  

So remember the adage: you get what you pay for. 

Now, with all that said, there are still ways to reduce costs but still have the wedding of your dreams.
