We had a fun photograph that we wanted to incorporate into our baby's 1st year birthday party invitation and as soon as we saw Pear Tree Greeting’s Ring Around the Ribbon kids birthday invitations we knew it was perfect.
Stylish, colorful, and the ideal design to show off our cute photo, we were so pleased with the invitation that we used the color theme and other bits of inspiration from it in the planning and design of our 1st birthday party.

Splashes of color greeted guests as they entered the party space. We placed the invitation on an easel in the entry way, flanked by a bowl of rainbow colored jellies and a treat box of goodies tied with a multi-colored ribbon. So much color...so much fun!
Our party started outdoors and to decorate the space we hung several homemade banners. They added such bright pops of color!

A change in the weather prompted some quick thinking for some indoor party games. Again, our multi-colored theme reminded us of the game, Twister.

The kids had a lot of fun and giggles with this one, and we found it suitable for a wide range of ages. We also took some time to make homemade crayons - this was easy to manage with our group and each of the kids took home one of their own at the end of the celebration.

All our guests also enjoyed a bright and colorful favor bar. Everyone was invited to fill favor bags of their own with the selection of candies and trinkets we had lined up.

We used sand pails to hold all the candies we laid out - this way, our birthday boy would be able to play with the pails during the summer.

Our menu wasn't limited to sweets, though. Party guests enjoyed a rainbow of bites including crisp veggies, fresh fruit and salty crackers.
