Sexy Homemade Halloween Costumes

This Halloween, get creative and put together your own sexy costume. We’ve got three great ideas that are simple and fun to make:

Samantha from the "Sex and the City" Movie

Who could forget the scene in "Sex and the City" where Samantha spends Valentine’s Day laying on the table draped in sushi? Here’s how to recreate the look:

Supplies:

• Form-fitting, nude-colored slip (one that matches your skin tone well)
• Fabric Pen
• White Cardstock
• Tape
• Fabric Glue
• T-strap sandals (any color will do, but silver is preferable)
• Blonde wig (if you’re not already blonde)
• Fake Sushi

How To:

1. First, try on the slip and use the fabric pen to mark the places where you’d want to cover if you were really naked.
2. Take the slip off and use the fabric glue to affix the fake sushi pieces to the places marked with the fabric pen. Allow to dry overnight before trying it on again.
3. Enlarge, print out and cut a fish skeleton out of white cardstock.
4. Affix the fish skeleton along the front of the t-strap shoes by placing a piece of tape horizontally across the back of the skeleton in three places (at the top, bottom and middle of the cutout).
5. Wear your blonde wig and grab a cosmo: Instant Samantha!

Eve from the Garden of Eden

This costume is definitely sexy and revealing, so you should be comfortable walking around in a bikini before you attempt to create it!

Supplies:

• A few yards of thin (¼ inch or less in width) dark green ribbon.
• Skin- or green-colored bikini, sports bra and short running shorts, or bra and full-bottom underwear
• About 5 yards of fake ivy from a craft or floral outlet store
• A box of safety pins
• A fake snake
• An apple

How To:

1. While wearing the bikini, begin by draping the ivy a few times around your chest and back until you feel comfortably covered.
2. Fix the ivy in place by double-knotting the ribbon to your bikini or bra straps in multiple places. Make sure nothing will slip by jumping around a few times.
3. Safety pin one end of the ivy to the top of your bikini bottoms and continue to wrap the ivy around your body.
4. Remember: You can even make more of a skirt out of the ivy to cover up a bit more. Just make sure to pin the ivy to the bikini at least once for every time you circle it around your body. Alternate sides you’ve pinned it to for maximum hold.
5. Drape the fake snake over your neck and hold the apple handy for the evening as a prop. If you want to get really creative and you have a fake apple, you can drape ivy or green fabric around your purse and affix the apple with fabric glue so you don’t have to hold your prop during the evening.
6. Accessorize with a few ivy leaves pinned into loose curls.

Obama Girl

What better Halloween costume than a topical one? With the Presidential election just around the corner, a sexy Obama Girl costume is just the ticket.

Supplies:

• White t-shirt or tank top
• Red shorts
• White high heels
• Iron-on alphabet letters
• Long, dark haired wig

How To:

1. Using the iron-on alphabet letters, write the phrase “I’ve got a crush on Obama.”
2. Use the iron-on letters to spell Obama on the back of the red shorts.
3. Don the outfit and wig, and occasionally burst into the “Crush on Obama” song throughout the evening!
