Autumn Leaves Wreath

The vibrant colors of autumn leaves look amazing when layered on a wreath.

Whether you choose to decorate with real leaves that the kids have

collected or silk leaves from the craft store, this wreath will be a

stunner on your front door.

Materials:

Steps
  • Brush glue over styrofoam wreath form.

  • Layer leaves around wreath, using glue as necessary between leaf layers.

  • Allow glue to dry completely before hanging wreath.

Harvest Wreath

Celebrate the harvest by decorating a wreath with fall botanicals, miniature gourds and seasonal items.

Look in the craft store for a rustic wreath base such as one made from grapevine or gathered twigs.

Build your design all around the wreath or create clusters with thematic items and feature the natural branches that compose the wreath form.

Materials:

  • Grapevine or natural branch wreath
  • Small artificial gourds and miniature fruits, preferably with wire
  • Artificial or dried fall-colored flowers and autumn botanicals
  • Green floral wire
  • Needle nose pliers

Steps
  • Decide where decorative items will be placed on wreath.

  • Cut lengths of floral wire using needle nose pliers to attach items to wreath.

  • Attach items to wreath by twisting wire around item and branches on wreath.

Candy Corn Wreath

Get the kids involved in Thanksgiving by crafting a wreath made from candy corn!

This is a great project for those who love to make gingerbread houses during Christmas.

Shop for your candy corn the day after Halloween and pick up a bunch of bags to make this cool confectionary décor.

Materials:

  • Aluminum foil
  • Styrofoam wreath form
  • 1 –2 cans white frosting for cakes
  • Candy corns

Preparation
  • Safety Notes: Because this wreath is perishable, hang it on the

door the day of Thanksgiving and let kids know that this is a

decoration only and not to be consumed. Not recommended in hot weather.

Steps
  • Cover the styrofoam wreath form completely with aluminum foil.

  • Ice the wreath with frosting.

  • Apply candy corns into the frosting on the wreath creating your own design.

  • Allow frosting to harden before hanging wreath.
