Everyone loves a great Halloween party. Not only are Halloween parties great for kids, but it is the one occasion where adults are free to dress up and get creative as well. Celebrities, such as Hugh Hefner and Heidi Klum, have become infamous for their annual Halloween bashes where stars have come decked out in outrageous costumes including Adam and Eve, Medusa, the Queen of Hearts, and many more!
Since costumes make up the main element of decoration at any successful Halloween party, it is imperative that everyone comes dressed up in their wildest costumes and are ready to have a fun time!
Here are some suggestions on how to throw your own Upscale Halloween Party.
Halloween Party Fun
Turn your garage into a haunted house. Having your garage decorated as a haunted house is a great way to engage your guests with the theme of the party and will set the mood for the party.

Costume Contest
Having a costume contest at your Halloween party will ensure that everyone dresses in costume and will provide an extra incentive for your guests to come up with fun, creative costumes to wear to your party.Photo boothSince your guests are all going to be dressed in costumes, they will want a memorable way to remember their evening. Set up a photo booth at your Halloween party and have guests snap a photo as they walk in the door.
Halloween Scavenger Hunt
Place clues around your house and then divide your guests into two teams to make the scavenger hunt a competition. Although this might seem a little childish, making the scavenger hunt a competition will get your guests excited about the hunt and will have them running around your house before you know it! Reward the winning team with Halloween-themed CRUMBS cupcakes.
Halloween Parade
Head to the local Halloween parade in your town and let your guests enjoy the local festivities before heading back to your house for a wild Halloween party!
Halloween Party Decorations
Get creative with your decorations and transform your house into a haunted mansion. Hang cobwebs, orange and black streamers, ghosts, witches, goblins, and pumpkins all throughout your house so that your guests can enjoy this festive holiday!

Hire a DJ
Have your DJ set the mood of the party by playing classic Halloween tunes, such as "The Monster Mash" and "Thriller." This will get your guests excited about the party and encourage them to bust out some moves on the dance floor!
Costumes, Costumes, Costumes!
Make it mandatory for all of your guests to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes.Make your staff come all dressed in the same costume. Since all of your guests will be in costumes as well, having your staff all dressed in the same costume will make it easy for guests to identify who they should talk to if they need a drink or have a question.Dress your pets in costume as well. Last year I dressed my miniature shih tzu, Lulu Flynn, as Little Mermaid.Always remember to have extra costumes on hand in case someone forgets to wear one.
Spooky Lighting
Replace the light bulbs in your house with orange colored light bulbs for the night. In one of the rooms, make it completely black except for a small glow-in-the dark light so that you guests feel like they are in a haunted house.
Spooky Sound Effects
In the all black room, have a soundtrack of ghost screams and goblin noises playing in the background. Chic Tip - for an extra bonus, hide a fog machine behind your front door so that when your guests enter your house, they are immediately greeted with a spooky welcoming!
