Valentine's Day Games for Singles and Couples

More Party Ideas

It's always a great idea to have some party games in your back pocket should the fun level of your get together ever start to wane.  This applies to Valentine's Day parties too! Spice up the night with some fun and feisty games for both singles and couplese. Of course, if your single guests are a little shy, don't force it, just ease into playing a few of our favorite games.

Couple's Kissing Games

Pass out a tube of dark colored lipstick to each couple. Next, on the count of three, each couple applies lipstick to their lips and starts to kiss their partner all over their face for 30 seconds or more. When you say stop, the couple that has the most visible lipstick marks wins!

For singles, switch things up and either draw a face or print out a photo of a favorite celebrities and have your guests kiss the photos instead. Another singles' alternative? Print out an even larger photo or draw the silouette of a male or female body onto a large sheet of white paper. Blindfold each guest and have them try and kiss the face--a kissing version of pin the tail on the donkey!

Valentine's Day Pictionary

Set up a large dry erase board on an easel or against a wall. Arrange seating so that guests are split on opposite sides and everyone can see the the board. Divide guests into two teams, try to put together singles who might hit it off and split up couples to shake things up.

Print the names of iconic Valentine's Day items such as roses, chocolate, wine, card, etc., on index cards. Fold each in half and place inside of a large, deep bowl.

Have the firstteam member pick a card and start drawing hints for the rest of his or her team to guess. Set a time for one minute or so and after, if the team does not guess correctly, the other team has a chance to guess and earn a point. Continue, going back and forth between teams until all of the cards are used up.

Couples Charades

Charades is a physical, fun way to get a group of people together. It's also a fun way to help singles who do not know each other break the ice.

Split your guests up into teams of two. Singles should be paired up with a partner they do not know or would like to get to know. Each team should be given a movie, TV show or activity that they can act out together. Something romantic would be ideal. Give each team a minute or so and if someone guesses correctly, the team earns a point.

Love Letter Mash Up

A quieter game, but still lots of fun, this is the grown-up version of Mad Libs.

Research a few classic love letters and re-type them, leaving out a few choice words so that players can fill them in later. Leave a blank space so that when guests play they know what they have to fill in.

Match up singles to play together to help them get to know each other. The object of this Valentine game is to come up with a humorous love letter. Produce a humorous story by replacing blanks in a specially written love letter. Eah team comes up with a list of random words and then try to place them in the best spots of the letter.
