Summer is the season for family reunions and parties. The kids are off from school and it's easier to get everyone packed up and on the road to visit family.
Every year, our family gathers at a local park for a day full of grilling, games and good times.
Party planners will always tell you that your invitation is important because it sets the tone of your event as well as guests' expectations for it. No matter how formal or informal a celebration we plan, we always stick by this rule.
For our mini family reunion we hosted we needed party invitations that were family-friendly, casual and seasonal.
We found a Wet n' Wild Watermelon summer party invitation from Pear Tree Greetings. It worked out perfectly for us since we were aiming to put together a really casual get-together. Watermelon is pretty synonymous with summer in our family, too, which made it even more appropriate.
Our summer party is all about relaxing and eating lots of delicious foods. Not only did it get the entire family ready to indulge and enjoy a delicious menu, this watermelon shaped invite also helped make decorating our park space fun and easy.
The entire menu and decor scheme for our reunion was planned with the invitation as a guide. Check out the yummy recipes and party embellishments that came together to make one fun-filled family day even more cheerful than we could imagine!
