Vineyard Themed Wedding or Engagement Party

When it comes to weddings, the big day isn't the only celebration being planned. Along the way there's the engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette party and rehearsal dinner.

As if it weren't hard enough to plan a wedding, most brides find themselves at least concerning themselves with an engagement party and rehearsal dinner, too.

A really great way to reduce the stress and make all these party planning processes easier is with an overarching theme. Allow your wedding to take center stage and let the motif or theme you choose to use with it, dictate the other celebrations.

One of the more popular themes are vineyard weddings, and that's exactly the theme I went for with my party.

Really, what guided planning for this theme are the vineyard wedding invitations I decided to use. Pear Tree Greetings has a wonderful selection of wedding invitations, including their elegant, yet casual Simply Vineyard one.

The vineyard wedding invitations have a grape motif, green and purple font colors, and cream background that were a huge help when mapping out the look of the wedding.

Most importantly, the invitation's elegance and subtle design really became infused in the setting itself with the addition of DIY elements and rustic vineyard embellishments.

This is a great theme for a couple getting married in wine country, has a passion for wine tasting, or simply wants to add a touch of European-chic to their day.

France and Italy are known for their wines so we wanted to add a bit of European elegance to our decor. Empty frames, vintage-inspired pieces, and Old-World china patterns are were incorporated to the tablescape, escort cards and other decorations. We used the grape colors from the vineyard wedding invitations in subtle ways, but kept the overall look neutral to mimic the background of our elegant invite.

Our sweetheart table place settings were dressed up using our vineyard invitation as a guide. Grape rimmed plates were topped with DIY wine cork escor cards holders.

Vineyard weddings are often ideal settings for intimate gatherings. With fewer guests we were able to customize the wedding with individual mini wine bottles that doubled as escort cards.

As a nod to the beautiful grape design on our vineyard wedding invitations we set up a wine and cheese display at the center of our outdoor space. Vineyard weddings would not be complete without a wine and cheese tasting, so this was just perfect!
