Artists have captured angels in song, film, and written verse for centuries. Play a baby shower guessing game with an angel theme while listening to angelic songs.

Since the shower was in the evening and set up more like a casual cocktail party, I knew the focus would be mostly on conversation between guests. However, I also wanted have at least a subtle spin on the classic baby-shower game. I set up a table with pink & blue pens and paper to write baby names on. Guests wrote down their suggestions for baby names and placed them in the jar. After everyone had given their suggestions, our daddy-to-be chose a funny friend to act as emcee and read the names out while the party guests voted on their favorite names.

When they arrive at Oz, Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion all receive makeovers. Skip the usual baby shower games and have guests made over. Hire a few amateur makeup artists, hairdressers and manicurists and have them give guests makeovers of their own!

In terms of games, bridal showers are a little more raucous; in comparison, baby showers tend to fall on the more mellow side of things.
