Hello, Celebrations.com readers! My name is Reilly, and I am the Art Director of Red Leaf Papers. I am excited to bring you four lucky tips for having a fun St. Patrick’s Day Party! Sláinte!

Tip #1: Always start your celebration with the perfect invitations. As the invitation experts, we at Invitation Consultants know that green is the only way to go for St. Patty’s Day! Think shamrocks, leprechaun motifs, overflowing steins of green beer and pots of gold! Shop for St. Patrick’s Day invitations in mid-February to ensure your guests receive them in time to prepare their green getups. If you have the luck of the Irish on your side, enter to win 25 St. Patrick’s Day Invitations from Red Leaf Papers below!

Tip #2: Gather ideas for green treats, from emerald colored cupcakes to cookies covered with charming clover sprinkles. I love these little shamrock cake truffles featured on Bakerella. Bonus: they seem easy to make, so it will leave you more time to hunt for leprechaun treasure.

Tip #3: For the décor, consider homemade shamrock garlands. Cut green construction paper into the shape of shamrocks, punch holes on either side and string together with gold twine. If you would like to make your event green chic, there are some pretty green arrangements offered by florists this time of year, including the beautiful emerald arrangement featured above from 1 800 Flowers.

Tip #4: Add a little green food coloring to your favorite clear cocktails, and you’ll be sure to bring miles of Irish smiles. Top with a shamrock garnish, and you will feel as though you are celebrating merrily in Dublin! Luck o’ the Irish to you this St. Patrick’s Day!

Alright, folks. Get to commenting! Leave a comment with the best party you ever invited people to and you could get 25 invites and envelopes!

It was actually an invitation I received. I thought I was going to a wedding, but it turned out to be a surprise 15th anniversary/renewing vows party my husband had thrown for me! It was amazing.

Our favorite party was for my daughters’ birthdays. They are 23 months apart and Chloe' was turning 2 and Julia turning 4. rnrnJulia, like most little girls was in love with horses. We had to bring her to Children's Hospital twice weekly. First for physical therapy from 6 months to 14 months and then we brought her for speech therapy the following year. On the way home, we passed stables at the park and Julia loved to go see the horses train. Once we stopped and the trainer gave the girls a ride; well they were hooked. rnrnI found the sweetest horse invitation; die cut with rope to tie on the tail and tiny red bandanas to tie around his neck. I'm really big on invitations; they set the tone of the party. rnrnWe found bandanas and straw hats for the guests and made favor bags and table cloths from lunch bags and Kraft paper. We got red ink pads and cowboy themed stamps for the children to design the table cloths and place mats of plain white paper. Old fashioned games of drop the clothes pin in the bottle and pin the tail on the donkey while children waited their turn to ride Ginger...the sweetest small horse in the world. rnrnWith a 3 hour rental at the park adjacent to the stables, the children got a tour and had the opportunity to feed the horses peppermints and carrots. rnrnIt was such a beautiful October afternoon and relaxed and family friendly. The girls and their pre-school classmates talked about it for months.
