Celebrations Circle

It's no coincidence Mother's Day arrives just in time for all the flowers to be bloom and a the local brunch spots to open their patios so mom can sip her afternoon tea in the springtime sun while you present her with one of these handmade gifts.

This week's Celebrations Circle is dedicated to that special lady we call Mom and all the wonderful things she's done to deserve a holiday of her own. Take a peek at how bloggers are celebrating their moms or celebrating being a mom, and get inspired to do the same.

Our first clever and craft idea for Mom comes from Celebration's own contributor Meaghan Mountford of the Decorated Cookie blog in cahoots with fellow crafter Cheryl over at Sew Can Do. Despite Cheryl's dabbling in the sew biz these sweet little cupcake toppers are a no-sew project that are sure to brighten any mom's day.

If your mother's anything like mine, she's the happiest when she's in her garden. This next idea comes from blogger mom Bouffe e Bambini who has found a sweet and simple way to bring the garden into mom's home with a few taps of a hammer. Check out the clever tutorial on Bouffe e Bambini's blog for making this adorable little herb garden from a couple of tin cans and a little bit of love.

This next idea is a recipe that is both sophisticated and inviting—a perfect accompaniment to Mom's afternoon tea. With Style and Grace delivers delicacy with these gluten-free Lavender and Earl Grey Lemon scones. Light yet fragrant these dainty scones will add a bit of class and comfort to you Mother's Day.

Lastly, with all the chaos and drama that comes with being a mother, sometimes the best gift a mom can get is a little peace and quiet. Give Mom some much needed R&R this Sunday with How About Orange's free printable door hanger that politely prevents anyone from interrupting Mom's blissful slumber.
