Celebrations Circle: I Want Candy!

Who's in the mood for something sweet? I am, I am! When Friday rolls around, I'm all about the sweet treats. Something about it being *this* close to the weekend makes me want to celebrate with some candy. So, in the spirit of my diet crushing candy cravings, let's take a look at some parties with candy themes from around the web.

DIY Louisville just posted a bubble gum themed party that is super sweet. The birthday girl was turning 7 and seems to have a knack for nailing party themes. She hit another winner with this one! The theme was woven through the party on so many levels. My favorite part was using gumballs to hold up the pretzle sticks. So cute!

Party Loves threw a very adorable Candy Land themed party for her 3 year old's big birthday. Check out the colorful sidewalk art she used to lead a path to her front door. What 3 year old wouldn't love this bash?

If you're looking for how-tos on throwing your own candy themed party, take a looksie at Passion for Parties. Glancing at these pictures, you'd think only a professional with months of prep time could plan this fete. But, if you read her break down of the elements, you'll be able to create a lot of this yourself. She makes it seem so simple!

And of course the favors for a candy themed party have to be sweet! Thoughtfully Simple put out quite a spread at her candy bash. I really wish I were there to sample!

Any bloggers you know of that have showcased fabulous sweet themed parties? Let us know in the comments!

This party idea is great! When we were looking for candy, we just got it online because we could buy so much of one and a little bit of the others. Thank you for posting your pictures, they’re very helpful for planning the next party!

I threw my daughter a bubble gum themed party in April. It was loads of fun - I made most of the decorations myself, the cake and the cupcakes were all me - A LOT OF WORK - but I loved every minute of it....here is the post I wrote about it: http://cupcakewishesandbirthdaydreams.blogspot.com/2011/04/party-recap-part-2-bubble-riffic.html
