My biggest delight is discovering great new entertaining tools that add that something special to my table, when I first discovered Glass Dharma Straws it was love at first sight and I new I needed a set for those tall summer cocktails that would be served all season long. I was hesitant at first, especially when I saw that they were hand blown, which left me scared of breakage and unsure of how to clean them, but my fears were quickly put to rest when I saw they are not only dishwasher safe, but come with a lifetime guarantee.  My summer cocktails are now eco-chic and a great conversation piece because they are a new concept for most people.  After using them a few times I quickly stocked up on a few sets to give as hostess gifts because everyone loves sipping through a straw, but sipping through a glass straw is an experience that will leave you spoiled and longing for your own set.

When I started planning the WifeStyle Conference , I knew that I wanted to collaborate with Glass Dharma Straws on our Entertaining  in Style event at the New York Design Center September 15th in NYC-- Don't be fooled by the name, WifeStyle is not about being a wife, it is about achieving a modern domestic style.   The Entertaining in Style evening is focused on providing hands on mixology lessons, table top inspiration, simple catering instruction and hostess tips for the contemporary hostess in a boutique cocktail reception atmosphere.  With experts like the Cocktail Deeva and Dee Bruun, and brands like Glass Dharma Straws, we are introducing attendees to new ideas and fabulous new brands that will help them create their own unique WifeStyle.  A few lucky conference attendees will be walking away with their own Glass Dharma Straws, and thanks to Celebrations.com, one lucky reader will too.

Now, get to commenting below with your fave cocktail touch to enter to win $25 to Glass Dhharma!

Egg whites, believe it or not, to boozy cocktails. They add a certain texture and fizz. Also, fresh herbs - sage, basil, mint!

We like to mix pink lemonade with vodka and add fresh lemon slices and berries. It's so refreshing on a hot summer day. The glass straws would look amazing in them.

When I was in Turkey, I picked up a few very inexpensive glass swizzle sticks. They are clear with bits of sparkling color glass scattered like confetti. It doesn't matter what I'm drinking--using them always makes me feel like I'm on vacation!

I usually drink vodka soda or whine, but I love mojitos that aren't too sweet.

Love to put ice cream in a glass of Baileys or Kahlua. Use a straw as the ice cream melts...so good.
    We like spiked lemonade too.

I discovered a drink by experimenting this past weekend and it will now be my new summer drink: 3 oz. Galliano, 3 oz. Triple Sec, 6 oz cranberry juice (mine was diet) and three thin lime wedges - blend all with plenty of ice to make a slush. The licorice of the Galliano is VERY noticable, as well as the lime - so do make sure you like these flavors! A glass straw would just MAKE this drink!

I'm currently addicted to Catalina Margaritas; it has have curacao in it, so the pretty blue needs a clear straw!

Our cocktail and mocktails become SUPER STARS when I float a sprig of fresh rosemary or other herbs and I add a glowstick stirrer!
