Celebrations Circle: Autumn Acorns

Acorns are pretty much the unofficial "nut" of fall. I mean, how can they not be? They are perfect for decor and can be found in pretty much every fall squash recipe. This week, so many bloggers are going crazy for nature's autumn nut, and have provided us with some fabulous ways to take the fallen acorns off the ground and turn them into something delightful and delicious!

With the weather cooling down, I've found myself skipping the iced coffee, and brewing up more hot tea (with a squirt of lemon!). These adorable Nutty Ham and Cheese Acorn Tea Sandwiches are just perfect to snack on with that steaming cup! Thanks to Trisha at Sweetology 101, I may just have to plan a tea party JUST so I can serve these!

Cute, simple, and festive. This fall centerpiece is a great way to make any room fun and festive. I love how simple it is to make, especially since I know we are all too busy making acorn shaped sandwiches to spend hours on decor! Make and Takes has a great tutorial on making this quick and easy centerpiece!

Before I moved out of suburbia and into the tree-free city, I thought acorns were soo annoying (and painful!). Seeing these unique ways to take those nuts and turn them into adorable crafts on The Gunny Sack, makes me regret all of those years of stomping and squishing those poor, defenseless acorns.

At Celebrations, we are pretty much obsessed with anything that ends in cake, and these Acorn Cake Bites are definitely no exception. If acorns taste as good as these cake bites look, I'm ready to fight off any furry little critter that I have to. Miss Candiquik has a great step-by-step tutorial to help you make these tiny treats that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
