Celebrations Circle: Berry Tasty Recipes

Berries are my all-time favorite snack. Cranberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries... I don't discriminate. While I'm completely content with eating them raw, baking them into a delicious dessert or using them to mix up some tasty cocktails seems like an even better way to enjoy my favorite healthy snack. This week, some of our favorite bloggers are using their favorite berries to make some incredible drinks and desserts!

Upside down cake takes some experience to perfect, but this recipe is so worth the effort! Michelle over at Brown Eyed Baker has whipped up a tasty Cranberry Upside Down Cake, which would also be PERFECT to serve at Thanksgiving dinner.

I haven't tried this recipe yet, but it's described as tasting like a blueberry muffin. A blueberry muffin in cookie form? I'm sold! You can bet I'll be hibernating in my kitchen this weekend, baking batch after batch of these tasty Berry and Cream Cookies from Alpine Berry.

Forget diamonds, chocolates are a girls' best friend. Chocolate, berries, AND nuts? Even better. Steve at The Black Peppercorn has done a really great job making a berry and nut chocolate bar that encompasses some of the most popular fall flavors with this Chocolate with Almonds and Dried Blueberries recipe.

This Cranberry Margarita from Confections of a Foodie Bride is perfect to wash down all of these irresistible sweet and sour treats. Cranberries are always a great mixer because their sour flavor kills pretty much any trace of alcohol. That, and the fact that this recipe is the perfect combination of fruity juice liqueurs and tangy tequila. I will definitely be serving this up at Thanksgiving dinner, but first.. time for a taste test!
