Sprinkles of Spring Parties

The weather seems to be in a slight slump: though it's technically still spring, there are bits of heat that are really getting us excited (and so ready) for summer!

So while spring is still here, why not take time and celebrate the new flowers, leaves, and newborn birds chirping outside your window? Get outside and enjoy the freshness of Spring with some great food options:

1. I found this delicious recipe (and beautiful picture) of a Mango Bacon Wrap. As the name of the wrap suggests, there's slices of bacon, mango, and zucchini inside. It seems like a really light meal choice for those of you who want to go for a picnic. Kudos to Laura Flowers, the Cooking Photographer for this delicious treat!

2. For dessert, do something creative with a classic staple like Jell-O. We love Gourmet Mom on the Go's creative idea for Jell-O Jellyfish! Who knew that with just a few carrot peels and a Jell-O recipe you could make cute, refreshing, and tasty jellyfish look-alikes. Mmm...

In terms of Spring décor for either your picnic or indoor festivities, go for lots of bright colors. For inspiration, check out the Joyful Weddings and Events blog and their beautiful ideas for their very own Spring Party. We're loving the colors, the hand-made picnic boxes, and those adorable and simple floral arrangements. Thanks!

Hope you all feel inspired, too. Go outside and enjoy the Spring; afterall, it only comes once a year!
