Holidays are a time of giving, sharing, spending time with family, and recounting stories of flying reindeer, singing snowmen, and magical elves. Easter has the Easter bunny, Valentine's Day has Cupid, and the winter holidays have Santa Clause and his elves, Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and a number of other magical creatures that we celebrate the holidays with. I love filling my home with cute little decorations of these fun fairy tales. It's an easy way to bring some holiday cheer into the room! For those that are super crafty, I've found some great "how-tos" for some treats and crafts that will bring the magic into your home!
How cute are these cup cozies from The Party Wagon?! They're like mini Santa hats in your hand! I'll definitely be serving some of my favorite spiked hot chocolate recipes at my holiday get-together. I was so taken by how cute these cozies were that I almost didn't realize how easy they are to make!
We may not be able to build a snowman indoors, but we can add some Frosty The Snowman to our mix of mythical decorations! This Snowman Can from Live.Laugh.Rowe is such a simple and cute craft I just had to add it to my list. If you're hosting a holiday dinner with the extended family, you can put these little snowmen in the middle with extra cutlery for all the guests!
I'm big on decorative pillows. Especially for holidays when I know I'll be having guests over constantly. Unfortunately, so many Christmas themed pillows were too silly for my taste, and instead of having elves and snowmen on my pillows, I would have snowflakes. This Reindeer Appliquéd Pillow from Just Crafty Enough is fun, elegant, and just perfect for the holidays!
Okay, so after you've spent minutes drooling over this masterpiece, head on over to Spork or Foon for the recipe for these Buddy the Elf Cookies. Her inspiration comes from the movie "Elf" combined with some of my favorite sweets and candies! These cookies are definitely made with a sweet tooth in mind.
