Açaí Berry Mojito

Açaí Berries

Move over, Pomegranate Martini; there's a new drink in town!

You may have noticed  açaí berries on smoothie menus (at least I have in New York). It's one of those wondrous superfoods that health experts believe packs a big nutritious punch. The next best place for a berry besides a smoothie is a cocktail, right? The Rink Bar at Rockefeller Center is serving up Açaí Berry Mojitos this summer. For those who won't be in New York anytime soon, they've kindly shared the recipe. Cheers!

Ingredients:

8 tbsp granulated sugar
2 limes squeezed
30 mint leaves
4 six oz. glasses of ice
12-16 oz. VeeV acai liqueur (per your preference)
Splash of club soda

Steps:

Add all ingredients into blender

  1. Top off with club soda
  2. To mix, pulsate until smoothie consistency

Yields 4 drinks
