Today's featured craft blogger is Rachel Klein, editor of One Pretty Thing, a blog that features a twice daily roundup of the best craft and DIY projects on the web. In addition to daily inspirations, crafters will also be delighted to visit the Handmade Gift Guide, the Crafty Business Resource as well as Crafty Contests.
Rachel created the site after she found herself spending more time searching the internet for craft projects than actually doing them. Looking for a daily DIY roundup, she found no such site existed. So created one herself! The result is a robust collection of craft projects for all occasions and seasons. Crafters can even show off their creations via the One Pretty Thing Flickr group, which is also a great way for crafters to browse for inspiration.
Rachel shared 5 craft projects with Celebrations, each perfect for keeping little hands busy this summer.
Beach glass and pebbles make for fun summer souvenirs. This Beach Glass Memento project allows you to craft your souvenirs into a work of art.
Another popular summer souvenir, sea shells, make beautiful ornaments for Christmastime or any time. Check out this Glittered Shell Ornament craft to learn how to make your own glittery trinkets.
Crafting your own cards is a great way to save money and adds a beautiful, personal touch to any gift. Get a jump on holiday gifting by creating Natural Shape Cards over the summer.
Summers are super special in a kid's life. Help them document the fun times with a Summer Art Journal.
Another great idea to commemorate summer is to document a special vacation, a day at the beach, park, zoo or museum with a Glittery Art Canvas.
