4th of July Recipes Week: Kate Miller of Cooking During Stolen Moments

It's the 4th of July this Saturday! It's the perfect time to start gathering tasty recipes for this weekend's celebrations. This week we're highlighting our favorite food bloggers, who we've asked to share their best patriotic recipes.

Today's featured blogger is Kate Miller of Cooking During Stolen Moments. A homeschooling mom to 4 kids, her cooking philosophy is that prepping dinner is a lot easier when you can "steal" moments during the day, rather than lump cooking time into the hour before dinner. Another FAB feature about Kate's blog is that everything is budget friendly. Her family of 6 keeps a budget of $350 a month and that includes cleaning supplies, toilet paper and diapers!

Visitors of Cooking During Stolen Moments can browse recipes by meal, easily print recipes and view detailed images of the finished results.

Kate also keeps a personal blog, A Simple Walk and co-founded Happy to be at Home.

When we asked Kate for a 4th of July Recipe, she made a great point. The festive food doesn't have to be all about barbecue and desserts; it can include a patriotic breakfast too! Incorporating berries into common breakfast foods is a great way to kick off the holiday morning. Be sure to check out Red, White and Blue Breakfast Ideas.

Check back tomorrow for more great 4th of July recipes from our favorite food bloggers.
