Personalized Crystal Letter Bottle of Bubbly

Moet & Chandon’s Soho pop-up store, Boutique Moet, offered its patrons personalized bottles of bubbly, with the letters made from Swarovski crystals (click on the link and use your computer mouse to roll-over the pictures in the photo gallery for a close-up of the bottles). Try this idea at home by using crystal letter stickers on Champagne splits as party favors for guests. Crystal letter stickers are available at most craft stores.

Crystal-Filled Lucite Box as a Serving Tray

At a Swarovski launch party for a line of crystal-clad fashion accessories, Lucite boxes were turned into serving trays with a bed of crystals inside. You can achieve the same look at a home party by using acrylic box photo frames, available at many art supply stores. These frames usually come with a cardboard insert, similar to a cardboard shirt box. To turn it into the serving tray I described, pull out the box and line it with a sparkly scrapbook paper. Add a layer of acrylic gems, available at craft stores. Then, use the acrylic frame as a lid on the box. The top surface of the tray will be see-through with the bed of crystals inside.

Sparkling Strands

This is a simply stunning idea. Strands of crystals hang over a dining room table (click the link and scroll down the page for photos). Pretty simple in execution, all you need is a wood dowel rod and strands of crystals. Check the Christmas decoration aisles for crystal bead garland, and cut strands from it. Then, attach the strands to the rod. Place it in a doorway of your home for a festive New Year’s entry.
